Twelve Angry Men

Justice:(noun) the quality of being just; righteousness, equitableness, or moral rightness: to uphold the justice of a cause.

The factors that influences the desition of the jury was, the many diffrent characteristics of those who where on the jury. Some of the jurty members where there and they sat back and did nothing to help the desiction making processe, while other would constently try and find every single thing so try and get out as soon as possible or to condem the kid. Having a jury can go both ways either it can give you a fare trial or give you a bunch of people who would much more likely be working or making money for them selfs and not have to worrie about aperson they have never meet. Having a jutry is a tricky desition much of the time you will get people who want to get in and out no questions just get it done. Having atitude like this can really have a big effect on some inocent peoples lives.

Dystopian Fiction

In this blog I will be examining the use of distopic fiction in the book "1984" by the re-nound writer George Orwell.
I have chosen a quote that best shows how this novel is a great example of dystopic fiction: "Always the eyes watching you and the voice enveloping you. Asleep or awake, working or eating, indoors or out of doors, in the bath or in bed - no escape. Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimeters inside your skull."
This quote shows a prime example of how a dysopic society works such as not having the ability to live freely or have a private life. All your happening are recorded or watched and examined to get the powers that be what they want.

In today’s society we have much of this happen under our noses . Many of the forms of moderating peoples actions and moves and whereabouts are being used by the government to stop terrorism of scout out enemy territory or other necessary things. but who is to say that they can no just flip over and watch and monitored what their people are up to and make actions on the ideas or things that they discover. who is to say have not already, who know weather the government is not watching us now, not using there top computer trackers or satellites to watch our every move and record all our happening.

The Chrysanthemums

Here I am agian, back with another blog on a new s.s.

This time I will be examining the s.s "The Chrysanthemmums" by John Stinekeck. In this s.s we delve into the life of the Elisa and her farm live routine. Elisa is a middle age wife of a farmer, who dose not see her life going anywhere fast and does not feel that she is appreciated for what she can do. In the story Elisa is visted by a traveling Tinker, a man who bangs pots and sharpens knives while on the road from city to city. The character of Elisa goes threw some large inward changes as she is visted and lead on by the Tinkers freedom and easy laidback life style to go and do as he please. She longs for the ability to be free from her hum drum life on the farm always under her hushands rules. Though it is not implied that her husband is a bad husband, we see by her attidtue that she has lost the flare in marrige and does not want to be held down.
As Elisa converses and opens up to the appealing Tinker, he willingly takes full advantage of the opertuniety and tries to get what he wants, to bang her pots. Unsuredly accepting him in, not knowing weather to prusue her hankering to be free, or to pull away and honor the vows she has made with her husband.

Hills like White Elephants

I do not often step out of my realm of acting to partake in public blogs, but recently I enrolled in a local E.S.S.P (English Short Story Program) and I'm required to convey my feelings on the short stories that we have read, to people I know and or feel will give me a valid response to my opinions as well as to aid in the understanding and meaning of the short stories, while gathering others ideas and thoughts on the subject of the story.

Upon reading the short story of "Hills like White Elephants" I thought the story was quite perplexing and left you wondering what in the devil is going on. After having a little discussion with our group we concluded that the story was about a young American couple that are tossing back and forth the heavy and hard decision weather to have an abortion. One in our group had said that the s.s (short story) was about a young women who was not feeling the love from her lover and wanted to make him happy and their discussion was on the subject of breast implants. This did give us all quite a laugh and to each his own, but all joking aside this s.s plays on some very pressing matters that many people today face.

I agree with the first mentioned. I think that this story is most likely about the tough decision of abortion, and not that of breast implants, sorry Em. This story shows many different kinds of symbolism such as how the life of those two Americans is on the boarder of choosing one life that looks much like a waste land and would bare no fun, lush and plentiful fruit, or they could chose the track that takes them to a place were they can have all the fun they want together, with out the complications of a child getting in the way. In the end of the story the young couple chose, it is implied but its all up to the reader, that they are going to get ride of the child and live a life of fun and excitement for now.
